Holiday meals are on the menu for Vegas restaurants

The holiday season is a time to indulge and there’s no better place to indulge than in Las Vegas. Many of the city’s restaurants are serving extravagant holiday dinners that will ensure you get in that one last big meal before the New Year’s resolutions kick in!

Comme Ça frog legs

Chef David Myers and chef Brian Howard have developed seasonal specials at Comme Ça at The Cosmopolitan. Guests can enjoy several new offerings, including glazed lamb shank with roasted butternut squash, spiced currant and toasted hazelnut; buttermilk-fried frog legs served with celery root remoulade and parsley vinaigrette; seared foie gras with vanilla-scented butternut squash, bourbon-glazed pecan tart and huckleberry; braised beef short rib­ with potato puree, sage and pomegranate; and more.

Specialty side dishes include creamed corn with chicharrón, espelette and lime; and charred Brussels sprouts with maple bacon and Banyuls.

Comme Ça’s expert mixologists have also composed specialty cocktails to add a seasonal flair to their cocktail menu. The Spiked Pumpkin features whiskey, pumpkin purée, maple, lemon, ginger and candied pecan garnish. St. Elizabeth  is a blend of gin, honey herb syrup, lemon, pear and an Earl Grey float. Guests can also warm up with the Distilled Farmer, made with bourbon, apple, spiced simple syrup, lemon and ginger and served in a smoked snifter with a flamed orange twist.

 Serendipity 3 at Caesars Palace will offer a special menu for Christmas featuring a spiced eggnog to accompany special à la carte items including roasted chestnut soup, a jumbo turkey leg, Santa’s lobster pasta and the Day After Christmas sandwich with sweet potato fries. A Naughty and Nice ice cream sundae will be offered, which consists of hot apple pie, vanilla and butter pecan ice cream, warm caramel and whipped cream. The restaurant will be open Christmas Day from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

 Le Provençal at Paris Las Vegas is serving a four-course Christmas menu including starters of Chardonnay steamed clams or braised short rib; chestnut green apple bisque or baby spinach and frisée salad. Choices of a main entrée include Kobe flat iron steak or pan seared duck breast followed by a dessert course of either sweet potato pecan pie or pumpkin crème brûlée.

 Café Ile Saint Louis at Paris Las Vegas presents a three-course Christmas menu with choices of lobster bisque or a winter harvest chopped salad. Entrée options include herb butter basted chicken, roasted pork loin or seared loup de mar followed by dessert of either pumpkin cheesecake or apple pie.

 Le Burger Brasserie at Paris Las Vegas features a Christmas menu full of à la carte specials including smoked duck salad, prime rib dinner with fingerling potatoes, carrots and grilled asparagus, a turkey burger with sweet potato fries or a lamb burger with seasoned steak fries.

 Bally’s Steakhouse will serve a four-course Christmas dinner with choices of smoked salmon, chestnut soup, duck terrine, Berkshire pork chop with sugar plums or prime rib of beef. For dessert, choose between sweet potato pecan pie or pumpkin crème brûlée.

 KGB: Kerry’s Gourmet Burgers at Harrah’s has a Christmas menu offering a cranberry apple salad, a Christmas turkey burger and an eggnog milkshake topped with whipped cream. KGB is open Christmas Day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Indulge in the special four-course Christmas menu at Center Cut Steakhouse at the Flamingo for $57 per person. The menu includes a glass of wine for guests 21 years or older. Start with a salad, followed by butternut squash and orange veloute with Maryland blue crab, a main course of roasted Sonoma organic free-range turkey with traditional accompaniments and dessert. The restaurant is open Christmas Day from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

 Embers Steakhouse at Imperial Palace is serving a three-course Christmas prix-fixe menu, which includes choices of butternut squash bisque or autumn salad to start. Choose between carved white and dark meat turkey or roast pork loin for the main course. A dessert of choice will follow the meal for $41 per person, which includes a glass of wine. Embers is open Christmas Day from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Trevi inside The Forum Shops at Caesars is serving a festive new holiday cocktail, the Happy Hollytini. Pastry chef Hank Sbraccia is also introducing his twist to a traditional Christmas treat with eggnog gelato. The frosty candy cane-inspired martini is a blend of vanilla vodka, peppermint schnapps and Baileys, priced at $9. The Christmas cocktail is swirled with a red stripe made of white chocolate and rimmed with crushed peppermint candy. Prepared with bourbon, dark rum and a hint of freshly grated nutmeg, the rich and creamy eggnog gelato will be priced at $4.50 per scoop.

 Strip House at Planet Hollywood invites guests to celebrate the holidays with mouthwatering entrée offerings in addition to the steakhouse’s signature menu. On Christmas, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., enjoy specials like seared foie gras ($21) with fig gastrique and crostinis; hatch New Mexico green chili rubbed prime rib with au jus ($49) or roasted root vegetables with honey and herbs ($12).

Sugar Factory American Brasserie inside Paris Las Vegas will transform into a winter wonderland where guests can celebrate the holiday season with specialty holiday cocktails throughout December, along with a prix fixe dinner on Christmas Day. The holiday feast will include sliced prime rib, complete with a twice-baked potato and Brussels sprouts, priced at $34. For dessert, guests can indulge in an assortment of milk and cookies, priced at $10.

Peppermint Patty cocktail at Sugar Factory American Brasserie

Specialty holiday cocktails include a Peppermint Patty Martini, made with Three Olives Chocolate Vodka, Godiva Chocolate Liqueur and Rumple Minze, priced at $10. Sugar Factory’s holiday cocktail selection also includes the signature Spiced Apple Pie cocktail, made with Stoli Gala Applik, Schonauer Apfel, apple juice, rock candy syrup and garnished with a red apple slice and cinnamon, priced at $10.

A variety of MGM Resorts International properties will be serving special holiday meals this Christmas. Osteria del Circo at Bellagio will present a roasted suckling pig served with apple-chestnut puree, roasted beets and Italian guanciale, an unsmoked Italian bacon.

Rí Rá at Mandalay Bay will offer both honey-glazed and clove-studded ham with mashed potatoes, Jameson honey-glazed carrots and cornbread stuffing.

Sausage lovers will enjoy Le Cirque at Bellagio’s boudin blanc, black truffle and potato puree served with roasted chestnuts and périgourdine sauce.

The Steakhouse at Camelot at Excalibur will offer a three-course menu featuring oven roasted turkey breast served with mashed potatoes, giblet gravy, stuffing, sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce.

MGM Grand Buffet will allow guests to create their own shortcake with fresh berries and crème fraiche or indulge in pumpkin-Oreo cheesecake.

Sirio Ristorante at Aria is serving a traditional French Bûche De Noël cake made of hazelnut Dacquoise layered with chestnut cream and chocolate mousse.

Twin Creeks Steakhouse at the Silverton is offering a special menu on Christmas Day. The three-course meal includes seared scallop salad or lobster butternut squash soup, free range turkey with a foie gras stuffing, sage giblet gravy, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, haricots verts and cranberry pear relish. Guests can also choose between pumpkin cheesecake or a strawberry trifle for dessert. Cost per person is $48.

Sundance Grill at the Silverton will serve a Christmas Day menu starting with a choice of soup or salad. Entrees include a choice of prime rib, oven roasted Tom turkey and baked pineapple ham, all served with black eyed peas, apple sausage stuffing, mashed potatoes, giblet gravy and cranberry orange relish. For dessert, guests can choose between pumpkin or pecan pie. Cost is $18.95 per person.

35 Steaks + Martinis at the Hard Rock Hotel is offering a holiday prix fixe menu Dec. 24 and 25. For the first course, patrons can indulge in grilled asparagus salad made with shaved Serrano ham, micro arugula, grana padano and topped off with a pomegranate vinaigrette. The second course includes items like duck two ways, a pan seared breast with confit leg topped off with glace root vegetables and a sunchoke puree or surf and turf, a petite filet and lobster tail with bordelaise sauce, drawn butter and lemon. Choose between two desserts including Panetton bread pudding served with crème fraiche sorbet and a caramel sauce drizzle or chocolate hazelnut mousse cake with a spiced pear sorbet.

The restaurant is also pouring festive cocktails during the holidays including the Peppermint Stick Martini and The Nutcracker, which is made with Godiva White Chocolate mixed with Amaretto, Frangelico, Chambord and Smirnoff Raspberry Vodka.

Mr. Lucky’s Café at the Hard Rock Hotel also offers up a prix fixe holiday menu Dec. 24 and Dec., 25. To start off the meal, patrons can treat themselves to a savory roasted chestnut soup with sugar plum jam and toasted brioche. Following, guests can choose between several courses including blackened prime rib of beef, sage stuffing with cranberry relish, mashed Yukon gold potatoes and green bean casserole. A peppermint bark sundae with warm mint chocolate sauce will also be served.

Pink Taco at the Hard Rock Hotel says “Feliz Navidad” by offering a prix fixe holiday menu. To start off, guests can munch on some crispy avocado fries or caldo de res, a slow cooked beef with potatoes, carrots, corn, celery and rice served in broth with tortillas. Entrées include hot and spicy shrimp relleno or an open face tamale. To complete the meal, patrons can choose between two winter cocktails including Mexican Mistletoe or the Bitchin’ Apple Cider, which is a simple blend of Captain Morgan and apple cider.
