Wine and dine in Vegas for Valentine’s Day

A romantic dinner is the perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day and Las Vegas has countless restaurants to choose from for your special night. Whether you’re looking for a meal with a view, a spicy dinner for two or a decadent dessert, Vegas restaurants are serving it all for Valentine’s Day.

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, Executive Chef Saul Ortiz has created a prix fixe menu at Tacos & Tequila inside Luxor Hotel and Casino. The menu is priced at $58 per couple. It begins with a sampler for two, including a shrimp ceviche shot, chicken quesadillas and beef flautas. For the main entrée, choose from authentic Mexican dishes including the trio of enchiladas; The Taste of T&T, featuring pork carnitas, a chicken tamale and a chile relleno; or the combination taco platter. For dessert, T&T will delight lovers with a decadent sampler that includes traditional Mexican flan; a chocolate morenita sundae and a sweet tres leches cake. To enhance the romance, couples can add Patrón Tequila flights that include Silver, Reposado and Añejo for $15.

Ranch House Kitchen at Town Square will host a romantic evening for couples on Valentine’s Day. The eatery will offer lovers a three-course menu, half-off select bottles of wine and complimentary roses for all ladies. The three-course menu is priced at $45 per couple. Start the meal with a choice of either fresh Caesar or kale salads. For the second course, nosh on either blackened chicken fettuccini or grilled Mahi Mahi. For dessert, indulge in a French toast sundae for two.

Love Potion Number 9 at Trevi

Chef Peter Scaturro has created a special “That’s Amore” couples menu on Thursday, Feb. 14 at Trevi inside The Forum Shops at Caesars. Priced at $70 per couple, the prix fixe menu will feature a light starter, the option to choose between three classic Italian entrées and a delectable dessert to share. Guests will have the choice of pairing their meal with Trevi’s signature Valentine’s Day cocktail, Love Potion Number 9, priced at $9. Other pairing options include a bottle of 14 Hands Chardonnay or 14 Hands Cabernet, priced at $30 per bottle.  To enhance the romance, couples will be delighted with Trevi’s signature, Spaghetti Ice dessert. The unique spaghetti and meatballs presentation is made of vanilla and chocolate gelato topped with a sweet strawberry sauce.

Couples can celebrate with a dinner for two at Meatball Spot at Town Square on Feb. 14. Chef Carla Pellegrino has created a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner that will leave guests in love. Priced at $24.95 per person, the four-course feast includes a salad, appetizer, main course and dessert, as well as a glass of sangria. Guests will begin their feast with a caprese salad, made with vine-ripened tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and extra virgin olive oil, followed by a serving of classic meatball bruschetta, grilled French bread topped with garlic and olive oil. For the main course, couples will enjoy a hearty portion of rigatoni tossed in Meatball Spot’s signature spicy meat sauce. Meatball Spot’s Valentine’s Day meal will be topped off with a specialty heart-shaped ice cream sandwich for dessert. Guests 21 and over may choose from Meatball Spot’s strawberry and peach sangria or white grape sangria to accompany their meal.

Public House Las Vegas at Luxor Hotel and Casino will set the mood this Valentine’s Day with a romantic prix fixe dinner for two. Executive Chef Marc Zoda has developed a three-course menu that will include two glasses of champagne. Lovebirds will begin their meal with a choice of either a house salad or classic Caesar salad. The second course features shrimp Gambino served with assorted bell peppers in a lemon butter sauce. Guests may choose from two main course selections: filet mignon stuffed with goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes, served with pan-seared asparagus and couscous; or salmon Veronique in a crème sauce with grape tomatoes and red bell peppers served with fingerling potatoes. Toast the occasion with a glass of champagne as the ladies are presented with a beautiful red rose.

Border Grill at Mandalay Bay offers an à la carte menu for Valentine’s Day featuring appetizers such as tuna ceviche and braised oxtail quesadilla; entrées such as chile-crusted porterhouse for two, pan-seared ancho chile pork tenderloin and crab-stuffed chicken breast; and desserts such as upside down caramelized plantain cake and spiced Columbian chocolate cake with sweet tomatillo sauce. Specialty cocktails are available for $12.

Wine and dine at Marché Bacchus French Bistro & Wine Shop in Desert Shores for Valentine’s Day. The restaurant will offer a special four-course prix fixe menu and a glass of champagne for $75 per person. The first course will feature a choice of shrimp bisque or a winter vegetable salad. The second course will be lobster risotto or seared foie gras. The main course will be sole amandine or filet mignon. Dessert is a chocolate mousse duo.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day Italian-style at Rao’s at Caesars Palace. The specials for the evening include beef carpaccio, beef Bolognese lasagna, red snapper and red velvet heart (ruby red velvet cake layered with crème cheese buttercream and covered in a white chocolate glaze) for dessert. This year, Rao’s will also feature a cherry drop martini featuring a blend of Grey Goose Cherry Noir, Cointreau, fresh sour and cane sugar syrup, topped with maraschino cherries and candy hearts.

Seafood Shack inside Treasure Island will offer a special menu for Valentine’s Day. The first course includes lobster bisque drizzled with crème fraiche. Second course is kumamoto oysters on the half shell and the main course is pan-roasted filet mignon and butter-poached prawn on a champagne glacage. Dessert is chocolate coeur à la crème. The dinner is priced at $45 per person and will be served from 5 – 10 p.m.

Phil’s Italian Steakhouse at Treasure Island will serve a four-course meal for $75 per person for Valentine’s Day. The first course consists of oysters on the half-shell, served with champagne and wasabi cream; and prosciutto-wrapped scallops, served with lemon aioli, crisp endive and aged balsamic vinegar. The second course is lobster chowder and a Caesar salad. The main course is a choice of a half rack of Colorado lamb, served with a port wine sauce, red pepper mash and asparagus; pan-seared Mediterranean sea bass, served with fennel cream, heart of beetroot risotto and baby carrots; or chateaubriand for two, featuring a 16-ounce center cut tenderloin, fingerling potatoes, baby vegetables and tarragon demi-glaze sauce. Dessert is a chocolate coeur à la crème with a raspberry compote.

Throughout the month of February, Rice & Company at the Luxor Hotel and Casino will offer a sushi and sake pairing for $48 in honor of Valentine’s Day. The Naughty and Spice Roll, a tantalizing blend of shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, cilantro and mango topped with salmon, avocado and sliced strawberries adorned with a spicy strawberry sauce will be paired with wakatake onikoroshi sake.

Hussong’s Cantina will offer a $35 four-course dinner that includes starters of vegetable soup and turkey lettuce wraps; an entrée of almond tequila sea bass with roasted red potatoes, Swiss chard and avocado, and buñuelos y cocados, a thin fried tortilla with cinnamon and sugar and sweet coconut flakes, to round out the experience.

Lavo offers a sophisticated setting to enjoy dinner for two highlighted by special menu items including Mediterranean king crab salad with roasted beets, mache, citrus, rose petal-shaped pasta with shrimp, asparagus tips, black truffles and a 6-ounce Kobe filet mignon and baked langostino. For dessert, the Italian eatery serves up a Valrhona chocolate parfait with preserved raspberries.

Slice of Vegas presents a $40, four-course dining experience. Kick the meal off with tomato bisque soup and salad. Mare E Terra will serve as the entrée, consisting of a filet, shrimp, roasted garlic and basil mashed potatoes, asparagus and tarragon zabaglione. End the night on a sweet note with assorted petit fours with caramel sauce and candied strawberries.

Strip House’s menu starts out with kataifi-wrapped crisp shrimp with chopped avocado, cucumber and flying fish roe or bufala mozzarella and braised artichoke salad topped with a sun dried tomato vinaigrette and artichoke chips. Entrées include surf and turf, 8-ounce filet mignon and broiled lobster or a 14-ounce bone-in filet. Complete the feast with warm red berry cake with roasted strawberries and raspberries, perfectly paired with white chocolate ice cream.

Tao presents a $55 per person Valentine’s Day prix fixe menu. First course selections include chilled shibumi oysters or lobster risotto. The main course is the option of dry aged prime sirloin with Maitake mushrooms, Japanese potato, roasted chestnuts & caramelized pearl onions or day boat black bass with roasted baby artichokes, golden beets and shiso lime vinaigrette. Gluten-free velvet cake will end the night on a sweet note.

Top of the World restaurant at the Stratosphere is offering a gourmet four-course couples menu. The meal begins with a lobster mango ceviche shooter, followed by your choice of starters including winter melon soup with speck, Peruvian scallops and oyster accompanied by Soba noodle, baby bok choy and enoki mushroom or artisan lettuce with roasted rhubarb and strawberry served with a berry vinaigrette and toasted almond. The shared main entrée features a duo of grilled beef tenderloins with chimichurri velouté and lobster tails with vanilla essence and served with winter vegetable medley, onion soubise and sunchoke puree. For dessert, enjoy a chocolate tres leche accompanied by raspberry cotton candy and passion fruit sorbet and tropical fruit brunoise. The meal is priced at $180 per couple, plus tax.

McCall’s Heartland Grill at Stratosphere will offer a special menu for Valentine’s Day. The meal begins with a sautéed lobster and scallop love puff appetizer served with roasted red pepper cream. The featured entrée is a grilled trio that includes pistachio crusted lamb chop, grilled shrimp with Valentine garlic cream, guava barbecue grilled quail served with golden raisin and pancetta risotto cake and blue lake green bean baby carrot bundle. For dessert, enjoy a chocolate chipotle brownie with mocha almond fudge ice cream and raspberry coulis. Price is $49 per person, plus tax.

Billy Bob’s Steak House and Saloon at Sam’s Town is serving a Valentine’s Day menu for $25. The entrée includes a choice of steak and seared scallops, blackened ahi filet or chicken chateau. Dessert includes a choice of chocolate mousse torte, red velvet cake or ice cream du jour. The meal also comes with a house soup or salad, baked potato or rice and a bread basket.

Addiction at Rumor offers a tempting Valentine’s Day prix fixe menu featuring a two-course meal and dessert for $30 per person. The prix fixe menu offers seared scallops or an Addiction salad as the first course, along with grilled N.Y. strip or pan-seared polenta or roasted Atlantic salmon as the main entrée. For dessert, indulge your sweet tooth with the Addiction bread pudding or the chocolate molten cake.

Culinary Dropout at Hard Rock Hotel will be serving an à la carte menu in honor of Valentine’s Day Feb. 14 – 16. Guests will enjoy a four-course menu featuring the gastropub’s signature appetizers, salads, main entrees and desserts. The menu includes the Raw Bar Royale featuring crab, oysters and shrimp ($50 for two to share or $85 for four to share), and the bistro steak “Oscar” ($36) topped with king crab and peppercorn gastrique and served with a side of hand-cut fries. Other items include the French onion soup, the winter salad, fried chicken, and butternut squash cannelloni. Finish with dessert including the apple monkey bread, peanut butter and chocolate tart and salted caramel custard.

Central by Michel Richard at Caesars Palace is serving a three-course dinner for two, priced at $50 per person or $65 per person with a glass of French Champagne. Dinner inclues a chef’s selection of amuse-bouche; first course of sunchoke soup or warm spinach salad; second course choice of loup de mer and ratatouille or filet mignon with Syrah sauce. Dessert is a chocolate heart for two.
